Bee keeping is a great hobby that will permit you to reap some great rewards from it. This is how we get the raw honey that many people like to have with a various number of foods or drinks and even in some drugs. Honey isn’t the only reward that we will be able to receive from bee keeping. We can also obtain bee wax and bee pollen that are employed in many differing kinds of items that we use on an everyday basis. One of the first things that you would like to consider when thinking about bee keeping is whether you or any member of your folks are allergic to bees. If the answer’s no, then you can go ahead and start your new past-time. This is a very important query as many people are so allergic that it can put them in the surgery or even become deadly if stung. Getting a started in bee keeping, you don’t need to spend a lot of cash. You can start your past-time with one hive for around 0 bucks. This is lots for you to start with. If you wish, you can expand later and purchase more hives and bees to keep your hobby flourishing. You also don’t need a lot of space to have as your hobby area. You want to choose an area somewhere in your yard but far enough from your home that you’re feeling ok with. One thing to consider is if you’re allowed to keep bees in your neighborhood. Some areas may have laws or ordinances against it. Now, where to get the bees from? There are three ways for you to obtain the bees you need. You can get them from an existing colony, a nucleus, or a swarm. Of these three techniques, the one that will cost the most is that of obtaining an existing colony. This could typically be done by purchasing them from established beekeepers and supply stores. A nucleus is where a queen bee and several hundred worker bees have left a hive to form their own colony. Getting a swarm of bees is by a large margin the most perilous of the three methods but is also the least expensive. To get swarm you have to 1st find it. Hives are often found hanging from the branches of trees. When you have located a hive, place a box below the hive and shake the branch resolutely until the hive falls within. When you have done this, turn the box upside down and place a stick under the box to permit any scout bees to get back to the hive. The scout bees are the ones that search the area for appropriate houses for the colony. Now that we have our hives and the bees, we are able to start our hobby of bee keeping. There are numerous methodologies that are used for handling bees and retrieving raw honey. It is advised that you research and know what to do before going headfirst. Providing honey and bee’s wax for individuals that need it is a very rewarding sensation and is a great hobby for anybody that can handle it.

Question by Alex Smirnoff: How would you explain this stunning biological discovery?
In attempt to stimulate stagnant production of honey in a bee colony the scientists tried to inject stimulating free honey into the nest in large quantities.

To their complete surprise, it only caused mutation of significant numbers of worker bees into drones, and further decline of honey production. Once the scientists run out of stimulating honey needed for further injections, the colony collapsed and the meadow was overtaken by another family of bees.

The scientists are puzzled by such a phenomenon and they predict that whoever comes with an explanation will be awarded Nobel prize, however not in biology.

Question by : If this happened would it be bad for the environment?
A man decides to go live on a deserted island and eventually start a family there. He brings a bee colony with him so that he can have some honey wile living on the island. He decides to adopt a child from the main land.

When the child arrives he tells him that he can eat any edible thing from the island except for the honey from the bee hives on the island because if he eats it he will surely get stung. The man then decides to adopt another child from the main land to keep his son company and he tells her the same thing as his son. His daughter decides to grab some honey from the bee hive and then passes it to her brother and both of them get stung in the process. When their father sees that they got stung he ask, “How did you get stung? Did you eat of the bee hives I told you not to eat from?” and his son says his sister gave it to him and his daughter says the honey looked so delicious she could not resist.

The man decides that for that one incident he will kick his children out of his home and punish all the decedents of his adoptive children for that one transgression. He also decides that the decedents of his adoptive children will need to offer him some of their food as a way of apologizing.

Later the two sons of his adoptive children offer him some food. One of them offers him a fruit salad and the other one offers him some steak. The man says thank you to the one who gave him steak but mocks the person who fed him fruit salad for not giving him a satisfactory meal. The person who was mocked gets so mad that he beats his brother senselessly until his brother dies and then the man punishes him for it.

Later the man gets really tired of the way all the people on the island are disobeying him. He sees though that one of the people on the island still loves him. The man tells that person to build a boat and gather his family and get onto his boat and leave the island for one year because he will kill every person on the island and try to start over. After the person who went onto the boat for one year returns to the island the man tells him that he will never again kill all the people on the island because he knows everyone on the island is corrupt.

Many years later the man decides to have sex with one of the decedents of his adoptive children to produce a son. He has some people beat the crap out of his son and then he has his son sent to another island to be burned for three days to pay for the misdeeds of everyone on the island.

After that the man tells a few people on the island to tell everyone else the “good news” about how his son was beaten senselessly and then burned for three days to pay for the misdeeds of everyone on the island. He explains to them that anyone who accepts the gift of his son being beaten senselessly and then burned for three days will get to live with him on a paradise island but those who do not accept the gift will be taken to the island of fire and burned for the rest of their lives at some unannounced time. The man then decides to leave the island for his island of paradise but he sets up hidden cameras all over the island so that he can monitor everyone.

The man makes sure to leave no recognizable trace that he even exist or ever did exist on the island so that people must believe that he exist through faith alone. The only way people know the man exist is through oral stories and through a book that he wrote and left on the island but the book is so unbelievable that many people doubt that he even exist so many people end up going to the island of fire and being burned for the rest of their lives.

Question by Alejandro G: Where can I buy home-grown honey?
I live in Houston, Texas and the record-high pollen count has attack me with allergies. A doctor recommends that I should ingest a teaspoon of honey a day, but I don’t know where can I get it. I’m not talking about the kind of honey that you buy from the store, I mean “home-grown honey” technically, honey from bees..If anyone knows where I can obtain this type of honey, please let me know, thank you.

If there are any types of little roadside produce stands that you pass a lot, but never really notice. Definitely try those. Ask if they have any, if not ask if they know somewhere that does. =)
